I wanted to wish all my LJ friends Happy Holidays. If you don’t know the past week and following days are the holiest days of the Jewish faith, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

I try to only make happy journal entries, but holiday season started off pretty badly for me. My father passes away on the 29th, just before the beginning of Rosh Hashanah. I am currently at his house in Ormond Bch. Florida, trying to get the house cleaned out and get it on the market, while also trying to get through the holidays alone. I'm supposed to be at Temple and I've started to get dressed twice and just took my cloth off each time and crawled back into bed.

CALMNESS IN OUR LIVES

I am passing this on to you because it definitely works, and we could all
use a little more calmness in our lives. By following simple advice heard
on the Dr. Phil show, you too can find inner peace. Dr Phil
proclaimed, "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you
have started and have never finished." So, I looked around my house
to see all the things I started and hadn't finished, and before
leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of White Zinfandel,
a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a package of Oreos, the remainder of
my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, and a
box of chocolates. You have no idea how freaking good I feel
right now. Pass this on to those whom you think might be in need of
inner peace.

Yes I’m still alive, and I did get my new place. It’s great, although it’s been quite a while since I’ve lived alone and I’m kinda used to someone else doing the laundry and cooking. I also have gone back to work full-time and the stress of a 50-60 hour work week is starting to catch up to me. I have to say that living alone does have it’s advantages. If there is a mess, I’m the one who made it and any drama in the house is only my own.

    <lj:music>Piete Brown - I Don't Want to Come Down</lj:music>

Well, Last night I went to the Tuesday night poker game at Front Page. I got out of my car with my MP3 player in my hand. I then realize I had left the ear buds at home. I’m a dumb ass that way sometimes. If you don’t believe me just ask my friends.

Well anyways, I decided it would be the best thing to just put my mp3 player in the glove box and lock the car. So, that’s what I did and I went into play my game. I didn’t do well at the first game. They had changed the format and now instead of being the winner at you table and moving onto the second round of play, they did consolidation until they were down to one final table. I don’t know if I like it, but it will teach me to not play just anything to see a flop.

Well then, I lost my ass in the first game about an hour into the game play. So went to play at the Losers table and guess what? I won the losers table and a 20 buck bar tab. Yippy! The losers table was filled with a lot of cool peeps and was actually a lot more fun then the main game.

Well, So, It was eleven and I went to go home. I got into my car, opened the glove box to get my mp3 player out to hook it to the stereo for the drive home. WTF? It wasn’t there. Nothing else was missing. I even had a five and a few ones in the glove box and a bunch of change. But the only thing missing is the mp3?

Now, this is really weird and I’m missing my mp3 already. But the car was lock and there were no window broken and the money wasn’t even touched? All I have to say is WTF?
